FAQ
The application procedure described in a brief way:
- Come in Touch with us -> Contact
- Send us documents for the initial examination by 12 March or 12 September (Depending on starting Date of your semester)
- Prepare yourself for the entrance examination
- Negotiate an appointment for the entrance examination
- Acceptance or refusal (depending on the result of the examination) and further clarification of the formalities.
After the accomplished the examination:
- A Contract-Conclusion and Matriculation
- (optional) If you need a visa, you will receive the necessary documents for submission to the local authorities in your place of residence, which are authorized to issue a Visa.
At the beginning of the training and further education, the applicants take an entrance examination. The entrance examinations will take place before the start of each semester or as agreed with the IPMA.
The following documents for the entrance examination must be submitted to the secretary’s office of the International Private Music Academy by mail or e-mail no later than March 12 or September 12:
- Letter of application
- Short Curriculum vitae
- Copy of the school leaving certificate
- For advanced training: copy of the diploma of a music study (if necessary translation into German)
- Copy of ID with address or registration confirmation of current place of residence
- two passport photos
After passing the entrance examination, a study contract will be concluded between the applicant and the International Private Music Academy, which regulates all legal points and the relationship between the registered students and the Lerninstitut Arte GmbH.
The program for the entrance examination includes
- Four pieces from three different epochs or styles
- Maximum total duration 25 minutes
- Individual requirements depending on the major and minor subject will be communicated additionally
After passing the entrance examination and registration, students from abroad will receive a certificate. To obtain a visa this certificate needs to be presented to the local authorities. Subsequent steps will then depend on the local authorities.
Optionally, we offer a relocation service at an additional cost to assist you in finding suitable housing.
